IN THESE PAINTINGS,  I am exploring the truth that Meher Baba is both form and formless, here and not here,

man and God.  While showing His form as having a powerful physical presence, I also wanted to point away

from it with equal emphasis. Baba Himself regularly told us "I am not this body that you see" and He encouraged

us to find Him as He really is--beyond form. To suggest this, I did not paint traditional portraits of Baba which usually

empasize His form only. To break the eyes' desire to settle only on His form, I am experimenting with different

compositonal arrangements that invite the eye to land on Him and then  move away to a suggestion of His

hidden Reality.  More paintings to follow in coming months.
